So why did we start Fields Firearms?  

I am not a gun nut. Why did I do something like open a gun shop?

I like firearms. I also like design, science, and technology.  I like hunting, homesteading, and the outdoors.  I am an accounting and business advisor.

I am an egg-head and African American. Lots of education.

Here is the why.

I got tired of going to gun shows and begging for the RIGHT to spend MY money. I got tired of going to the big stores and getting hit or miss answers.  I got tired of going to gun shops and feeling like I wasn’t getting good services.

This is America and of all things, it seemed as if the right to bear arms was a secret club.

So I got my Federal Firearms License. I took classes, joined the NRA,  I learned about the manufacturers, and later the distributors and wholesalers.  I learned as much as possible about pistols, marksmanship, and tactical science.

I started this journey twenty years ago. I learn something new every day.

I like firearms. I am definitely NOT a gun nut. I think they are very cool. Every model is different and is a statement on that moment in time.

They represent confidence, independence, and discipline.

I think everyone should own a firearm. Don’t tread on me.
